Skip to my Lou my darlin'

We go on nature walks . . . a lot. No surprise there. We had a great time walking along the river a few nights ago. Darin remains the rock skippin' king - nearly skipped a couple of them all the way across the river. The kids are getting better and love to keep trying. Jacob does especially well skipping sticks. I'm good at making splashes and not skippin' a bit.

I love all the old stone buildings hiding in the woods around here. This one just needs a new roof and some windows and doors and I'd move right in.

Skipping rocks like pros is a Dickey family trait. I, like you Kim, can't skip anything. You have to have the blood.

This is another place I wanted to go while we were there. I always love your pictues from there. Maybe next trip the weather will cooperate a little better. :)

My theory is that we can all skip rocks (except for maybe Laura, has she improved lately? j/k Laura) because Dad used to take in the canoe to the sandbar at Yellowstone and abandon us for several hours with nothing to do but skip rocks while we waited for our turn fishing.

Sadly, I have not improved, Cami, but I could spend hours and hours trying. I have very fond memories of skipping (splashing) rocks with the family.
