Blah

Today I've felt a little blah, a little blue, a little under the weather. No particular reason that I can put my finger on. Just blah. I've felt a little like toad in the story "Spring" from my Frog and Toad Treasury. I called Kristi, and she suggested I do a little blogging. Well, you got it, my friends. Several posts, and guess what, I'm not feeling nearly so blah now! Thanks, Kristi! I also put up some pictures I've been meaning to hang, moved around the furniture in the living room, and ate some rocky road ice cream (thanks mom).

Incidentally, there is a great little story about ice cream in my Frog and Toad Treasury, too. And one about cookies needing to be tied up in a box so they are not all devoured with resulting sick stomachs, and one about making lists (a personal compulsion), and one about looking ridiculous in a bathing suit (ahem), and a whole bunch of others. Who says those are kids' stories? Arnold Lobel was plainly writing for adults (me) with fun pictures for the kids. Check it out. Read it. You'll laugh out loud and agree.

There. Now I'm not so blah. Thanks, Kristi, Blogspot, Mom (and Turkey Hill creamery) and last, but not least, Frog and Toad (even though I can't get the stupid image to upload of their cute book. Oh well, not gonna let that get me down - you all know what they look like). And now I'm going to bed.

I love the Frog and Toad adventures! And I'm so glad that your blahs went away. Blogging is good therapy.
Love ya!

I never realized they really are for adults! How funny!!! I'm glad you feel better. I'm formulating a plan for this book to pass along. I'll call you when or if it comes together. It might end up just being the book and a disposable camera. Love you!!!

Blogapy= blog therapy. I totally believe in it. And we also love Frog and Toad at our house. We often make lists of things we've already done just to be able to immediately cross things off.

I also have a testimony of blog therapy (and writing in general). I admire your tenacity in doing something about the blahs, rather than taking my approach of watching reruns of Frasier or (worse) Grey's Anatomy. Although if you need some good cry therapy, Grey's usually does the trick (it will also make you realize that your life is not so messy). By the way, feel free to call me anytime if you have the blues or blahs, or just some free time!

I love all your posts below. My favorite is the pic of Darin with the boys and that junk you made. It looks delicious! I'll take some of that garbage any time.

In my sadness to hear that you were feeling blah, I'm thankful to know that my sweet Kim Dickey is human after all.
You are one of my greatest treasures that I've discovered here in PA. Don't feel blah, because we think you're pretty wonderful- in every way.

I'll have to check out those frog and toad adventures! Your photo below totally made me crave lemon squares. Thanks a lot! :)
Hope you are feeling better. I was just pondering the other day how my emotions can change so drastically from day to day. One moment I can be totally depressed and listless, and the next moment I'm ready to take on the moon. Crazy roller-coaster of life, I guess.

Now that I think about it, I think what you need is a trip to Michigan! We loved hanging out with you and would love to have you anytime. Kristi and Josh can come too!
