Birthday Bonanza

We celebrated two birthdays this month!  Megan and Jacob are  born two days (and 7 years) apart. Thank goodness they each have their own day to celebrate - I think at least one of them prefers it that way!

Poor Megan was stuck with a sick mom on her birthday, but thankfully several friends stepped up and helped her celebrate with cupcakes, Mario Kart, and another cake.  We also had a little candle blowing out ceremony for her on Jake's birthday once I was feeling better.  The following week Megan and I went out for a special date to a paint your own pottery place.  We had a fun afternoon painting and talking and laughing.  Now we just need to pick up our fired pottery and show it off.  I loved spending the afternoon with her.

Jacob loved singing "Happy Birthday" to himself with us throughout the day.  He doesn't have much patience for opening gifts, so we just draped some wrapping paper over his gifts - one big rip accomplished the job of unwrapping.  He was a lot of fun to blow out candles with.  With his  speech delay, he doesn't say "f", but when blowing out candles, he says "f" instead of actually blowing.  Try blowing out candles by saying the sound for "f" - it takes a while.  It was pretty funny.

I love both Megan and Jacob so much.  They bring me much joy and laughter. Here's to many more birthdays for both of them!

Happy birthday to two of my favorite people! I think blowing out candles with an "f" sound is much better than the rainy day spittle approach, which is what Calvin does. And I can't wait to see a picture of the fired pottery!

That's very interesting! Megan and Jacob happen to be two of my favorite people also! I'm delighted they enjoyed their special days.

Definitely a good idea that they weren't born on the same day... I think that could have been disastrous. Happy birthday kiddos - and next time I'm in town, let's do pot. tery.

As you can imagine, I've been sitting here blowing and trying to make an "F" sound at the same time. shockingly difficult. Love those cute kiddos and miss you all like crazy!

I would really like to be put in your last will and testament as next of kin and in charge of these 2 should something happen to you and Darin. Ok that sounded weird... BUT I LOVE THEM! Happy birthday to two CUTE kids!
